Jordan's Breakfast (at) Jordan's

this is most likely, nay, the best compilation yet.  what we have here good citizens who eat brkfst, is saturday and sunday’s brksts.  the top left img is a full blown, majestic t-bone steak in all it’s glory.  looking at this picture is like viewing the Guatemalan Cow of Paradise* in all it’s splendor.  the steak was prepared and cooked by Jordan, the very Jordan that one would eat brkfst (at) Jordan’s with.  a small story that goes along with this steak, its adventure begins in my mouth.  I had a taste for something tasty yet formidable; something delicious yet unforgettable.  here’s what I did.  I rubbed the steak with barbecue salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.  I then scored the meat along the bone and rubbed garlic inside those areas.  I then heated up the carbon steel pan** we use at our store for cooking the brkfsts.  to the grapeseed oil that was heating up, I added a few chili flakes and some coriander.  I then did what every other good chef out there does, cook.  yes, I know it sounds complicated to put something in a pan and watch it go, but I myself have trained with the queen of England herself.  she calls me “hms cook” (where the ‘s’ stands for sexy).  I do not mean to brag by this; regardless, the steak was finished in the oven and ready for consumption.  I consumed the steak (at) 9:30 am, March 8th, 2009, after letting it sit for about 10 minutes.  ’twas delicious.

as for the top right and bottom img, this is today’s brkfst.  it was prepared and cooked by my older older brother and the “ol’, young lady.”  it consisted of delicious bacon, pan cooked veal and chicken breaded cutlets, and tomatoes, avocado and sliced bread.  by a stroke of genius, I took the ingredients and turned them into a sandwhich.  in the top right img my older older brother seemed to have the same idea.  needless to say, I enjoyed this brkfst thoroughly as I had done some strenuous things to my body about 45 minutes prior to eating.

*the guatemalan cow of paradise is a fictional character made up by the genius known as Gary Larson

**the carbon steel pan is a beautiful marvel of pan architecture and engineering.  coming up, a special post on “why the carbon steel pan is so special.”  I have now made the word special void in my mind by saying it over and over, especially to myself.

ps.  the cup in the top right img looks as though it has an egg in it.

pps.  we also had tortillas for wrapping up the ingredients in the brkfst, but I’ve always said that “whence you wrap the brkfst up, the brkfst shall then wrap up too soon.”
