brkfst of champions. this is one phrase that came to mind* when I saw this picture. this was emailed to me by a friend, confidant of fat, on april 6, 2009 (at) 11:31 am; I imagine it was eaten shortly after the picture was taken, and emailed shorter-ly after being consumed. filled with jealousy and hunger I decided to put my blog into action and write about this bit of deliciousness. maplewood-smoked, skin-on bacon was hand cut to about four millimeters thick and fried until “suitably crispy” as stated by the brkfstr; two mild italians were roasted beautifully (I always try to incorporate a throw-away joke in my daily speaking…); an omelette made with brebiou, a french sheep’s cheese**, this was cooked in pancetta that was melted slowly in butter (this can be compared to a person, namely a woman, sensually and slowly taking off her clothes). to round out, top off, and conclude this masterpiece, pizza bread was fried in bacon fat. I can only imagine how bacon yielded such amazing flavours into the bread, making it ever so delicious and nutritious.
good sir, you make me proud and have brought a squirt of tear into my left eye***
*by came to mind, I mean the person who made and ate the brkfst told me this.
**I am not so certain that the sheep itself is french, but I am certain that it’s called a “french cheese” because it comes from france…
***I wasn’t sure whether the sight of the brkfst or a small object on my cornea made me teary, but I was filled pride…pride and jealousy.
ps. note to self: remember to save writings half way through.
